The 2009 Gift to the Gold Community

The Gift of Knowledge

The 2009 Gift to the Gold Community

Preface

To begin, I would like to introduce a book to you, titled Creating Affluence by Deepak Chopra. I found it useful, informative, and inspirational–along with being concise and spiritual.  The newsletters that I am about to once again bring to your attention go hand in hand with the ambiance of this book. Creating Affluence is about wealth consciousness, a topic upon which many of us have a laser focus; and with good reason. After all, it’s in the news, it permeates our lives as never before, and it goes to the very core of whether or not our Republic will endure.  Wealth consciousness is both a personal and a national issue.

Richard Carlson author of “Don’t Sweat the Small Stuff”, penned the forward and I’d like to I’d like to share a small portion of that with you. Mr. Carlson states: “Wealth consciousness is so much more than simply having the ability to make money.  It’s a mindset that involves seeing life, not as a struggle, but as a magical adventure where our needs are met with grace and ease.  Wealth consciousness is a state of mind, a sense, not of believing, but of really knowing that what we need is available to us”. I’m thinking to myself, one must have a basic awareness of metaphysics and spiritually if one is to advance with this concept! I’m also thinking that things ain’t feeling very magical to many of us. But that is the point—it is up to change this.

Once again we return to the metaphysical elements of our lives.  In some ways these are some of the simplest principles of our existence and yet they can be some of the most difficult to assimilate and to implement in our lives.  This might sound like crazy California gobbledygook as one of my right wing friends likes to chide me, but it has worked in my own life and I believe it can work in yours. When I “follow the path” I am rewarded and when I lose focus, become lazy, or ignore the fundamentals, I am reprimanded.

There is one lesson which is very difficult for many of us to integrate into our lives although we do comprehend its meaning on an intellectual level.  John Lennon expressed this lesson beautifully when he sang “the love you give is equal to the love you get”. If you want to acquire knowledge, love, and wealth, it is necessary to learn how to give the same.

I realize how difficult that can be when you’re trying to pay the bills and everyone from Uncle Sam to Aunt Suzie is after you for one thing or another. It is most difficult to sit back and take 20 minutes a day and meditate on the issue.  It is also difficult to understand that if you ask the universe for something you will receive it. Again, it becomes imperative that you know with all of your heart and soul that you will receive what you request—hence, the old saying—be careful what you wish for!  Therein lies the key to the idea that you know it is going to manifest in your experience.

.

One final idea from the book and I’m going to paraphrase this concept so as not to get lost in detail. And please think of these “goddesses” as a metaphorical entities or what best suit your belief structures.

A student asks the spiritual master what is the secret to creating affluence?

“The Master answers that there are two goddesses that reside in the heart of every human being and everyone is deeply in love with these entities. However, there is a certain secret that you need to know and I will tell you what it is.  Although you love both goddesses, you must pay more attention to one of them.  She is the goddess of knowledge.  Pursue her, love her, and give her your attention.  The other goddess is the goddess of wealth.  When you pay more attention to the Goddess of knowledge the other Goddess will become extremely jealous and pay more attention to you.

In other words the more you seek the goddess of knowledge, the more the goddess of wealth will seek you.  She will follow you wherever you go and never leave you in the wealth you desire will be yours forever.

There is power in knowledge, desire, and spirit and this power that lies within you is the key to creating affluence.

An Incarnation

I wrote an incarnation of “The Gift to the Gold Community” back in 2007—just two years ago. My have times changed. But in other ways they’ve remained the same. That’s how life is: the more things change, the more they remain the same.

The real consideration is that the dichotomy between 2007 and 2009 is so pronounced. We must remember that the future changes will be as equally pronounced between now (2009) and two years from now in 2011. Nothing is constant except change–whether we like it or not; and on and on it goes. Those individuals who have been able to think ahead and prepare themselves for the inevitable have been the most successful.

I repeat: There will be extraordinary changes over the next several years so we should NOT be anticipating a return to the “good ole days”. Get out in front of the curve—and by all means get out from in front of the freight train that is coming at all of us as best you can. These writers who I am recommending for your review have had an excellent track record of doing just that.

I’ve already written a preface to this article which is on my website at www.seacoast-consulting.com. I am going to present the recommendation as presented in 2006-2007 and add a few additional notes. Financial costs for these letters can be found on their websites. Tell them I recommended them and request a trial copy of their work. Most of them have a money back guarantee.

Remember and assimilate these concepts if possible:

Knowledge plus action equal opportunity.

Nothing Occurs in a Vacuum.

We all choose our own destiny; we create our own reality

Look forward after learning from past errors

Failure is the seed for future success.

Work Smart—as well as working hard.

There is no substitution for Integrity.

I receive nothing by way of compensation for; there is no quid pro quo. America and Americans need answers. These people offer some of the best commentary I’ve seen. Most of them have been recommended on several occasions. I have posted original comments from 2007 and then added comments from 2009.

If you’re serious about investing in the gold sector, while understanding why nothing occurs in a vacuum, then by all means consider utilizing this group en toto—as a package entity. Some of these guys write every day and some write once a week. Some write when the spirit moves them (much to my chagrin—I am one of them). This talented group of people desire one thing—they want you to be able to think independently.  No one is trying to spin something down your throat. That’s the difference between integrity and hype. Hype is visible from a mile away and Integrity is visible from infinity.  These people have integrity.

1.      The Privateer (2007):  Bill Buckler/ Also publishes a weekly gold letter. Purchase the entire package because this low-key proponent of truth assists us in ascertaining how the world is interconnected on many different levels. I think it is one of the best geopolitical letters being published and it is easy to read and understand because of the format.  www.the-privateer.com  Subscribe to it! That is all I’m going to say because after all, it is number one on my list.

2009 Comments: Like clockwork, and with the same precision as a Rolex, The Privateer offers truth as they see it—often painful, always fair and invariably accurate. My financial world view is based upon the rudimentary observations from The Privateer. It is 12 pages in length, is published every two weeks. Because of its superb organization and excellent writing, it “feels” longer. The Gold Comments are separate from the main letter, are published every Saturday, and can be subscribed to separately or in conjunction with the main letter. While not as strong or as long as the main letter, I believe there is sufficient value to warrant the additional cost of the weekly Gold commentary. Buckler is the first person that I know who coined the terminology that gold is a political metal. When viewed in that light, it makes sense as to why the politicos are so against it. No specific actionable investment advice as in “buy this, sell that”.

2.      Lemetropole Café (2007): Bill Murphy:  “Uncle Bill” as I’ve fondly called him for the past 8 years is smart, dedicated, and has a large and devoted following.  Helped to organize GATA or the Gold Anti-Trust Action Committee (GATA). There is no better letter out there if you want to know about the day to day workings, machinations, and scripts of the gold and precious metals markets. There is geo-political commentary and insights by talented subscribers. Bill writes five or six days a week. I need to reiterate that this letter gives you a heavy dose of what is occurring in the day to day operations of gold—the pulse of gold. www.lemetropolecafe.com/

2009 comments: So much of what Mr. Murphy, GATA, and the patrons of the Lemetropole Café have focused upon has been proven true, especially pertaining to issues over the last three years. Many intelligent and well informed “high profile” personalities have seriously entertained the notion of manipulation or “managed markets” whereas that phrase alone would have branded you “a crazy” a few short years ago. Interestingly enough, the manipulation does not stop with the gold markets but rather appears to have infected even the major markets in a big way. The manipulation has turned blatant, insidious, and with little regard for concealment. I believe this is really a function of size and scope of the malfeasance. GATA has been correct all along and Murphy is as true a Patriot as Patrick Henry–so is Chris Powell. High praise but well deserved.

Some commentators would have you believe the story is all about the “gold bugs” getting rich over the demise of the country. Talk about the pot calling the kettle black! In the end, it is not simply about making money in gold; it is about having a currency that is viable—the same one, i.e., gold and silver; that our founding fathers demanded be the coin of the realm.  Because of the failed financial policies of the US over the past decade, we have allowed the Bernard Madoffs of the world to be rulers. “Join” the Café because you will be a part of a much greater movement towards freedom than Washington can ever imagine. The same is true of Buckler and the Privateer. The Café offers hints at some possible investment ideas but the focus is on getting its members to think, Now isn’t that a novel concept! GATA.org is a parallel universe.

3.      Freemarket Gold & Money Report (2007): A Commentary on Precious Metals and Monetary Matters by James Turk; www.fgmr.com  Here is another person who needs little introduction. The title says it all. General commentary along with specific financial recommendations. After talking with James, I believe his real focus is on GoldMoney, “the best way to buy gold on line”. But his letter is excellent and I highly recommend it.

2009 Comments: Turk is the gentlemen’s gentleman of the gold world. Highly regarded and only getting better. James is so far ahead of the curve because he has created a concept of Restoring Sound Money in America. To wit, it is to restore gold and silver to its rightful role as the money of the United States as is mandated by the Constitution. Mr. Turk is an intellect and a patriot and Heaven knows we need more of this kind of person in America today. It is important to understand what these people are saying because if their message had been well received I can assure you that we would not find ourselves as a crippled nation with a financial handicap of which the world has never seen. FGMR offers broad actionable advice.

4.      Trader Tracks (2007): Stocks and Bonds, Futures and Commodities–Roger Wiegand; Many people will appreciate this letter because of the no nonsense alerts and recommendations. I admire the man and what he represents. Personally, I’m not a big futures trader because I have not developed the “feel” for it. But “Rog” offers some excellent insights which support my supposition that nothing occurs in a vacuum. He elaborates on the causes and effects of the market. Email traderrog@comcast.net. Actionable advice along with e-mail alerts. J. Taylor has helped to sponsor Trader Tracks and I believe he has done the community a terrific service.

2009 Comments: I’ve come to know Roger considerably better over the last several years.  The one thing that pops out to me is that this is a man who really cares about the success of his subscribers. I think he fills the niche for the middle class, middle of the road, neophyte trader. He writes not only for his own newsletter but publishes articles on Kitco which are substantive. Not just fluff pieces to get people to his website, but articles that really say something.  As much as anyone out there, Roger calls it like he sees it and in today’s world that is a service that I will purchase any day of the week. So here is a guy who has integrity, is intelligent, and is caring.  Yes he’s got a pretty good track record to boot but the real reason to become involved with Roger Wiegand is because he will tell you the truth.  Isn’t it amazing how the words truth and integrity keep popping up? Americans are on a desert island and they could not be thirstier for the truth. The internet offers an enormous amount of information, but how much of it would you take home to mama? read more
